Hutte

Marc Lacourt's cobbled-together house is home to ordinary men and women in a space where everything falls apart: walls fall down, plates break, the rain invites itself inside. It becomes an unlikely place for a humanity searching for itself and revealing itself in the face of hazards as absurd as they are poetic.

Creation
Hutte

Borrowing from the elastic burlesque of Buster Keaton, and channelling his story like a Tarantino-style film-mute, Marc Lacourt rediscovers a taste for the inside-outside in a mobile play, whose cabin-stage can be set up in the street or in the forest. The audience watches as the elements are unleashed in joyous mayhem, but it's not without taking part too. And when all hell breaks loose, all that's left to do is sing Singing in the Rain, and dance, again and again.
