Open Studio I HIDEBOUND
Hidebound explores the relationships between the individual and the collective, and between violence and solidarity, and concludes with a vision of inclusive emancipation in which differences become a shared strength.
Creation
HIDEBOUND
Hidebound is a choreographic work for three performers that explores the relationship between gender and social norms through a reflection on the possibilities of emancipation. Inspired by Legacy Russell’s ‘Glitch Feminism’ manifesto, the piece views disruption as a space for transformation and the multiplicity of identities. It builds on the research begun in Leather Better, this time incorporating group dynamics and the relationships between bodies.
